These poor old Utes literally got driven into the ground and worked to death, and if they survived that then they would suffer badly from the dreaded rust, so to restore one of these Utes today you would need to be a very brave man with very deep pockets...and thats if you could even find one worth restoring.

This example has been the subject of a very comprehensive ground up restoration locally at great expense to its owner and restorer, and has pretty much had every panel either replaced fabricated or rebuilt.
The floors sills chassis rails guards tailgate you name it, have all been fabricated or rebuilt back to standard form consuming many hundreds of hours of painstaking work.

Once the body was all sorted a full repaint in a two Pac BMW Red was completed, and the striking flame red complements the classic Lines of this old Ute to perfection.

The running gear powering this beauty consists of a rebuilt 186 Red engine mated to a 5 speed T50 gearbox, and the complete front end was also rebuilt and is the later disc braked HR unit with a power assisted booster.

The interior has been refurbished and is a neat place to sit back and take in that cool old school dashboard, while youre sitting comfortably in the leather and suede buckets, also available is the original bench seat which has been fully re trimmed to match the door trims.

All new rubbers and trims round out the package and over all the presentation inside and out is very good, but not so perfect that you couldnt use and enjoy this Old Ute.

A great promotional vehicle which really turns heads or just a nice weekend cruiser, either way you couldnt go wrong.
