Hows this for a cool old survivor!

This gorgeous Yellow Glow genuine matching numbers low mileage factory 302 V8 4 Speed Hard Top has only had three private owners in total, the last one for 32 years!

Believed to have been sold new out of Hutchison Motors the Big Ford dealers in Christchurch and registered new here in CH CH on the 1st of February 1973, this old darling was sold to her second owner in 1978 then the second owner kept her until 1992 when the current owner purchased the car off his family friend after always admiring the car, and he has retained it as it was all those years ago when he first fell in love with it as a young man!

A Canterbury/Marlborough car its entire life, and always treasured as part of the family this Coupe has remained pretty much complelty stock original having only had a paint freshen up in the 90s, and the engine bay cleaned up and freshened up a little later on.

A lovely tight old car to drive, the original 302 runs beautifully through to the Top Loader gearbox which changes really nicely providing nice feedback through the to the driver, and this example really does have lovely road manners.

The body appears to be in very good solid condition and is very straight with what appears to be original sheet metal and decent panel fitment for the period.
These Hard Tops where rusty from factory, they virtually came with it as a standard option, but this one has a really nice original rear window lower panel, which is usually the first point of interest, and any work it may have had over the years certainly isnt obvious, and its was painted a very long time ago, with no signs of breaking out.
The older paintwork presents well over all with only a few little chips and marks from being enjoyed as would be expected, but over all the presentation of this very rare Hard Top is really nice.
You never see these old Coupes on the original skinny biscuits any more, and this one has never had mags fitted or the guards rolled which would make it one of the very few.
Decent trim and brightwork round out the package, all of the windows all roll up and down nicely, and everything appears to be present and correct.

This is quite simply just a very good honest example of an original un restored and un butchered Big Tag XA Hard Top with low mileage and very low ownership, this might just be the one you have been searching for for many years...

If you like very rare honest old cars with a cool recorded history that truly reflect 50 years of faithful service, then look no further!
Hard Tops are quite simply in a league of there own when it comes to iconic collectable Australian Muscle, and are very hard to find in this condition, so dont delay, enquire today.
