This stunning Holden Ute has been a true labour of love for its enthusiast owner.

The original LE Monaro was conceived by taking left over body shells and loading them full of all of the fruit available of the era with a lot of unique features and high end components as standard fare and being built in Limited Numbers has made them a unique and desirable collector car today.

This amazing Ute you see before you is one mans dream of creating a tribute to the LE Monaro in practical Ute form, and its been researched and executed very nicely indeed.

After hunting around and initially finding a reasonable Ute shell the body was blasted and sent to the Panel Shop, thats when the fun started...as is often the case this Ute had been worked hard and needed everything, which it got, new floors new guards, door skins, new sills you name it, its had the works.

A Premier front was sourced and fitted along with fluted GTS guards, and a correct style front spoiler in keeping with the overall theme.
Once the extensive man hours had been spent on the body and it was all sorted out, the correct shade of LE Red Metallic was chosen and sprayed throughout finished nicely and further complemented with a complete unique handmade decal set reminiscent of the LE Coupes.

While all of this was going on the drive line was being completed, this consisting of a Fuel Injected 304 Commodore SS style engine mated to the 700R 4 Over Drive Automatic transmission.
In keeping with the high end specs of the original LE this Ute has been fitted out with power steering and Air Conditioning, and its completely trimmed out in deep black leather with LE embossed logos in both the seats and door trims.

The interior itself is very cool fitted with a correct Monaro full instrument sports dash layout and genuine GTS steering wheel, a full length console and genuine bucket seats.

To round out the LE package a set of imported Honey Comb 17 inch alloys have been sourced and wrapped in nice low profile rubber.

This Ute was painstakingly built and improved over a fair length of time by its mechanic owner to be a daily driver for his business, and to be fair he nailed it, the drivability is far better than you would expect with the Ute offering up decent performance with really nice manners on the road and anyone could drive it daily.

Also fitted is an electric braking system for heavier loads, and all improvements are fully LVVTA certified for piece of mind.

A lot of time money and research has clearly gone into this project and it shows, someone is going to get a very col Ute here for a fraction of its replacement coast.
