A real proper old style Hot Rod!

This neat old RHD NZ New 37 Flatback is a very cool old Rod and is believed to have been a Hot Rod for a long time since the late 60s early 70s up around the Blenheim area.

Within the last few years this old V8 was given a very thorough rebuild with a pretty much open cheque book, so is now probably the best its ever been.

The boxed up Ford frame is home to a fairly staunch warmed up 460 ci Big Block Ford V8 engine running a big Holley on a Weiand performer manifold, coupled up to a C6 Automatic, suspended with a Mitzi front end with a Toyota power rack and pinion set up, and power discs brakes, while the rear end is a traditional 9 inch Ford set in lowered leaf springs.

The build has been done well with a fair amount of thought and experience clearly put into the car, and it has also been fully LVVTA certified for all of the upgrades.

The body has clearly always been that of a good old car with good panel fit and a decent over all stock appearance to the bodywork in general.

The paintwork presents very well finished in a decent white pearl complementing the big bold sweeping lines of the old school Sedan body.

The interior has all been fully refreshed in a custom cloth with wall to wall carpeting and a complement of Vintage style retro gauges to monitor the goings on, and a Locar shifter to get things moving.

A surprisingly nice ride with plenty of that unmistakable low down Big Block Torque that has to be respected to be fair, as it moves this old girl along no problems! but this really is simply quite a nice tight well-mannered Hot Rod of the period, that has plenty of space for the whole family and even the Dog!

Decent chrome and trim brightwork and a polished set of Smoothie wide wheels round the appearance out on this Big Ford, and those trade mark big tear drop head lamps are classic unmistakable pre-war Ford.

A nice turn key sorted Hot Rod being offered at a fraction of its replacement cost today, this one represents good buying with nothing really left to do apart from drive and enjoy it!
