How cool is this old Ford!

This handsome old chap just arrived to Ch Ch from the beautifully rugged Westcoast of the South Island where It has been residing for many years.
Being a true Coaster this old Flattie is typically no flashy nonsense and certainly not scared of getting in and getting the job done, as was prove quite evident by the fact it stormed over here under its own steam a few days ago on a horrible wet day never missing a beat! You might not think that too big of a deal until you realise this old boy is 88 years of age!

Originally from Western Southland, this neat old truck was found in an old farm shed before being dragged home and done up by some well-known Side Valve guys many years ago, a few interesting names pop up in the history of this one, and its been plugging away for quite a few decades now with just basic maintence as and when it has been required.

To be fair, he doesnt really want for much, just a dry old shed to sleep in and a bit of petrol, and hes pretty happy.

The body is solid having clearly had some previous old repairs and the paint is clean and shiny, with a few little chips and bruises and a great overall tidy patina.
Over all this amazing old truck is very presentable, but certainly not too precious to take a load of rubbish to the dump!

The Flattie runs like a clock and the gearbox doesnt do anything odd, hes been converted to 12 volt so a flick of the switch and a push of the button and hes away!

If your into collecting trophies for best panel and paint at your local car show, then this isnt the truck for you, but if you want to carry those trophies and pretty much anything else, then this is your truck!
