What an absolute time warp!

This amazing old XP Futura is an absolute credit to its previous custodians, having obviously been a cherished part of the family this darling old Futura spent the first two years of its life in Fiji with its Air Traffic controller owner, who then brought the car back to NZ with him when he returned in 1968!

Long term ownership, and a very pampered existence has meant that this XP looks pretty much like the day it rolled of the dealership floor!

The super straight rust free body appears to still have almost all of its original Jet Black paintwork, which is just polished through on some of the sharp edges, and with only minor storage dings acquired over the years, the body is in remarkable condition,

This stunning old Futura also has one of the best original interiors we have ever seen on a nearly fifty year old car, complete with period radio!

The chrome and bright work is still in very nice condition, and the unique stainless Futura trim is all faultless,

The strong smooth running engine is the original 170 Pursuit Six, coupled to the 3 speed manual trans, with the latter being upgraded to slightly later style full syncro unit, making it a lot more user friendly,(a simple bolt in conversion, and the original gearbox is retained with the vehicle)

The neat old style sun visor, venetian blinds, and mud flaps complete the period look of this amazing old car, and being the high spec Futura it is equpted with factory bucket seats, and a centre console, which look fantastic,

A totally unmolested survivor, and one of the nicest examples we have ever seen that drives just as good as it looks!

The XP Falcon range literally saved Ford Australia in the sixties according to the history books.....shame they cant repeat it again today......
