This Challenger ( VIN JH23H1B211140 ) is believed to be one of only 18 - 1971 340 - 4BBL DODGE CHALLENGER HARDTOPS known to still exist today, it was built in Hamtramck MI Assembly Plant ,and could quite possibly be " ONE of ONE " left, as it is the only Car of the 18 documented to have the Factory N96 option Carb Fresh Air Package ( SHAKER HOOD )
1971 340 - 4BBL DODGE CHALLENGER HARDTOPS were only built at the Hamtramck, MI Assembly Plant, and this car was produced on Thursday 12th November 1970.
In 1971 there were a total of 1,226 - 1971 340 - 4BBL DODGE CHALLENGERS Built to Specs for USA which in itself is a very low number, breaking down even further to only 41 4-Speeds , 291 3-Speeds & 894 Automatics

Originally arriving here in NZ in 1975 (Still on black plates!) this would have been mind blowing compared to almost anything else on our roads at the time, and this stunning example has survived the decades remarkably well, remaining in very honest original condition, having never been restored, because it's never really needed it, it still remains true to its build tags some 43 years on, and performs exceptionally well having been freshened over the years and maintained without losing its period correct character and feel, it still presents very well today for a car of this calibre, and shows signs of a well respected yet enjoyed existence, with a nice honest appearance.
This would be one of the most desirable and collectable Challengers from the proper 70s Muscle Car era available today, you would struggle to find anything like it State Side, and would pay accordingly...... so if you want a staunch 70s Muscle Car that looks fast standing still, and is seriously a lot of fun to drive, then the search is over!
