Its been a long time since we have had one of these cool old VH Pacers in stock!
The Mighty VH Pacer! One of the original Big Three, and Chryslers answer to the Falcon GT and Torana GTR. These Pacers were typically Chrysler of this period, bullet proof and as hard as nails!
Not many of these old Pacers have survived the passage of time, back in the day they were just another cheap and strong old work horse so got treated pretty rough with most now long gone to rust, wreckers or Speedway tracks
To be fair they deserved a lot better, they were a good honest strong old car, they went very well with the tough old 265 Hemi coupled up to a manual, and to find a survivor today is pretty rare.
According to the original body tag and stamped inner guard numbers this example is a factory 265 Hemi three speed car, and is build number 1398 produced on the 18 September 1972 for dealer Code E983 NZ delivery. Originally One of only 10 examples finished in its original colour of Spring Gold, it would have been quite a stand out in the car park in 1972!
A well known local car, this example has been given a full going over by a local Chrysler Restoration Specialist as his own personal car, and as such was restored to his personal tastes. Finished in the striking Arctic white with Black accents and with a full new black interior, it is certainly an eye catcher.
A lot of work has clearly gone into the body in the refurbishment, as there is no real evidence of the dreaded Chrysler rot that finished a lot of these cars off early in their lives, and with clean panel fitment and general attention to detail this old Pacer looks the part.
The staunch old 265 performs very well through the three speed floor change manual, and with well fettled suspension the overall drive is generally better than you would expect of a seventies Valiant.
The chrome and trim has all be refurbished and a lot of decent genuine trim and fittings have clearly been sourced throughout the build, bringing this neat old Pacer up to a very nice presentable driver that you can be proud to use without being too precious to enjoy it.
